New for July

July has a couple of new things for the new mother and for the impending parent:

  • Thursday, 16 July, 7.30-9pm we have a free event presented by Tracy Lomax who has 21 years experience as an Osteopath and trained at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in Harley Street, London.  In this event she will focus on nutrition and about her own speciality and how she can bring a wealth of experience working with babies with birth trauma and children with hyperactivity.  Learn how nutrition is the foundation of our physical, emotional and psychological health, and that behavioural problems, from the earliest stage, can be easily corrected.
  • Thursday, 30 July, evening(time TBC) Kiss It Better, which provides several first aid courses for parents, grandparents, childminders and nannies, will be running a 2 hour empowerment workshop specifically designed for expectant mothers, which focuses solely on first aid for babies, and is a lot less active to take into account those ever growing bumps!  Partners and family are also welcome on this course.  Knowing what to do in an emergency when the little one has arrived is essential for any parent.  £10.00 per person

If you are interested in or would like to book either of these events please contact Tanya on 07814 866 012 or via email at info@huddersfieldpilates.co.uk

And for those who are not pregnant who would like to lose a little weight or just generally improve their health we are continuing the Fit4Summerpromotion due to demand.  This is a 6 week course, 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 6-7pm) which comprises of 2 mat classes and 1 machinery class.  We also offer dietary advice.

We would also like to confirm that our normal Thursday classes will not be running during August but will be returning in September:

  • Tai Chi with James Lucas will finish on Thursday 23 July but will be back week commencing 14 September.
  • Pregnancy & Yoga with Roz Brown will finish on Thursday 23 July, with another break on Thursday 16 July, but will return on Thursday 27 August or 3 September(TBC)

Also, for those who might be interested, on Saturday 11 July and Sunday 12 July, 10am-5pm, at Leeds Town Hall, The Headrow, Leeds, LS1 3AD, there is a Health & Healing Festival.  There are wonderful shopping opportunities and mini workshops from Simon Elliott on the ancient art of QiGong (similar to Tai Chi exercises), leading diet experts, Moroccan Dancing and an introduction to the Indian holistic system to healing called Ayurveda.  For more information please go to www.healthhealingfestivals.co.uk or call 01423 873 259.

Enjoy your summer and we look forward to seeing you very soon x
